RIM Moulding

RIM moulding is a widely used manufacturing process that creates high-quality, complex parts with a smooth surface finish. It involves injecting liquid components into a mould, which solidify and take the shape of the mould. This allows us produce lightweight parts with intricate designs, and its fast curing time allows for quick production cycles. It offers excellent mechanical properties and the ability to incorporate various additives, making it versatile and suitable for various industries.

We use both silicone and hard tools, with silicone being best for very low volume parts as they are only good for around 50 parts, where hard tools can do 1000s of parts.

RIM is the perfect solution for functional prototypes before being tooled for high volume production, as well as low volume products.

3D Printing

At ORKA group we use 3D printing for both rapid prototyping as well low volume manufacturing. We use both Anycubic photon mono x as well as Bamboo Lab X-1 Carbon printers. Between these two machines we can print in a multitude of materials including ABS, Nylon, PLA, and PETG.

We can also finish printed parts by way of sanding and painting to create a production like finish to your prototype

Metalwork and Fabrication

Metalwork and fabrication are vital in manufacturing.  We can support small and medium size metalwork projects in house, with our CNC plasma cutter, brake press, and fly presses, along with both MIG and TIG welding. We work with mild steel, stainless, and aluminium for most projects but have the ability to use exotic materials where required. Our team of fabricators have over 50 years of experience and a passion for everything they make.

Here at ORKA, our precision and attention to detail guarantee high-quality, durable metal products every time, and see our customers coming back to us with more projects.

Vacuum Forming

Vacuum forming is a manufacturing process that involves heating a plastic sheet until it becomes pliable, then stretching it over a mold and applying a vacuum to create a desired shape. It offers several advantages, such as cost-effectiveness, quick production times, and the ability to create complex shapes. Additionally, it allows for customization and the use of different materials. With its versatility and efficiency, vacuum forming has become a popular choice for producing high-quality, lightweight, and durable products in a wide range of applications.
